Die BPW 21 von OSRAM Opto Semiconductors ist eine Fotodiode in einem TO-39-Metallzylindergehäuse. Dieses durchkontaktierte Metallgehäuse ist hermetisch abgedichtet. Die BPW 21 wurde für Anwendungen von 350 bis 820 nm entwickelt, vergleichbar mit dem menschlichen Auge (VLambda). Geeignete Anwendungen für die BPW 21 umfassen: Belichtungsmesser und Farbanalysen.
